Peer Editing Projects

Rubric ( I will use this rubric for all paper throughout the peer editing process)

Here is a link to the rubric that I used for both papers. I gave each individual a score for each section, and after the score, I wrote why I gave that number so they understand what they could work on to get the full amount of points.

*Natalia – peer review project #1

Your introduction is awesome! You really grabbed my attention. I feel your readers would believe your arguements more if you had more sources and stronger statements. This would also make you sound more credited. As a reader I feel your whole paper could flow better. Also, it may help to look at your writing guide for your formatting throughout the entire paper. Overall, you have a great start! I think your paper will turn out great with a little work!

* Taneya – peer review project #1

I really like the information you have already found! They make a lot of good points. I think your paper is off to an outstanding start, but there are a few parts you can work on to really strenthen it. If you use more transitions and try to connect your information you readers may be able to get more into your writing, and take more from it. I also think your should look at formatting. I’m having troule with it also but using the reference guide really helps. I suggest using it. Like I said, you are at a good point right now! I really enjoyed reading your paper!

* Eric – peer review project #2

I really enjoyed reading your paper. You seem really passionate about your topic which many times mkaes it more enjoyable for the reader and allows them to get into the paper more easily! I think your paper can be really good but there are just a few things that need ot be changed to get it to that point. You may want to add some transitions to make it flow and find some more reliable sources to make you as the author sound more credible. It may also help to organize your paper a bit more and group appropriate sources together in order to make it flow and allow the reader to follow along better. Overall your paper is off to a great start! Good luck with the rest of it.

*Sam – peer review project #2

I really like your topic! It is something I honestly do not think about much but is something that could really affect a relationship later on in life. You have a very fluent writing style that was easy for me to understand. You have alot of good sources and they are organized well. It maye make you sound more credible though if you do have a few more souces to back up your points. Also, I know it is time constrainging, but if you had a few more participants (maybe even 5-10 more), your study may change and give you a more intersting look on your topic. Overlal I really enjoyed reading your paper and think you are really on your way to a great paper.

Yeah sources have been hard to come by, but i’ve been working on that.

  Sources are definately hard to come by but what I suggest is to look at the end of your sources you already have and see what journals they have used. That has helped me find other people who have written on the same subject as I have. I know it takes time but it will give you the best information, or at least that is what i have found!!
